Penoscrotal webbing is scrotal skin that attaches high on the underside of the penis, creating a web. It can make the penis look shorter and get in the way of sex or condom use. It can be present from birth or follow circumcision or other surgery.

How I evaluate it

An exam, both relaxed and with an erection in mind. It often comes alongside a buried penis or prior genital surgery, so I look at the whole area.

Treatment

A scrotoplasty releases the web and rearranges the skin so the penis and scrotum are separated, as an outpatient surgery. Most men return to desk work within a week and to sex in about four to six weeks.
