Adult circumcision removes the foreskin. Revision fixes problems left by a prior circumcision, such as too much or too little skin, skin bridges, or scarring.
Who it's for
Men with a tight or scarred foreskin (phimosis), lichen sclerosus, repeated infections, or splitting of the foreskin, and men unhappy with a previous circumcision.
The operation
An outpatient procedure, with dissolvable stitches.
Recovery
Soreness and swelling for about a week. Most men return to work in a few days. No sex or masturbation for about four to six weeks while the incision heals.
Risks
Bleeding, infection, changes in sensation, and cosmetic concerns.
